At the conclusion of the 2026 season, Stuart will be easing himself into semi-retirement. This means he shall only be offering tours during the months of April, May, September and August. For these months, a limited number of tours will be available on a 'Step On' basis priced at 500 euros per day (this means Stuart joins you in your rental vehicle, with a member of your group driving that vehicle), or with transportation provided (by a third party transport company), for an additional fee of 495 euros per day.
All tours run between the hours of 9am to 5pm, and start and commence and conclude in Bayeux.
Since arriving in Normandy in 2004, Stuart has dedicated over twenty years to the professional study of D-Day and the Battle for Normandy. During this time he accompanied tens of thousands of visitors to the region. Although from the end of 2026 he shall only be offering a limited number of tours, for those of you who are unable to secure his services as your guide, his in-depth knowledge and expertise remain accessible through the books he wrote for visitors to the Normandy battlefields.
Both of Stuart's books were written with visitors in mind, providing valuable insights and guidance for those wishing to visit the battlefields of Normandy. By acquiring one, or indeed both volumes, readers can benefit from the legacy and expertise of one of the most experienced and respected guides to have offered tours of the region, ensuring their visit is both informative and meaningful.
In the words of the renowned historian James Holland, 'Stuart's deep knowledge of the subject oozes from every page'. His books seamlessly weave together an intricate narrative alongside compelling first hand accounts. In addition to captivating the reader in a truly engaging history, these books also provide vital information regarding the practicalities of visiting the region.
BOTH BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH AMAZON.
