Professionally Guided Battlefield Tours for Small Groups

Over a duration of either a single or multiple days, we offer suggested itineraries of the key sites of each nation's sector of the Normandy landing beaches (either the American Airborne Sector, Omaha Beach and Utah Beach for the Americans, the British Airborne Sector, Gold Beach and Sword Beach for the British, or Juno Beach for the Canadians). These tours can be taken independently if you wish to focus on just one sector (i.e. American, British or Canadian), or consecutively if you wish to gain a broader understanding of the experience of more than one nationality of Allied forces (in order to visit all five of the D-Day Beaches, we recommend a duration of no less than five days). 2026 is now FULLY BOOKED. At the conclusion of the 2026 season, Stuart will be easing himself into semi-retirement. This means, from 2027, we shall only be offering tours during the months of April, May, June, September and October. For these months, a limited number of tours will be available on a 'Step On / Guide Only' basis (this means Stuart joins you in your rental vehicle, with a member of your group driving that vehicle). If you require transportation, this can be arranged for an additional fee through a third party transport company.

All tours run between the hours of 9am and 5pm, and start and conclude in proximity to the city of Bayeux.

Although from the end of 2026, Stuart shall only be offering a limited number of tours, for those of you who are unable to secure his services as your guide, his in-depth knowledge and expertise remain accessible through the books he wrote for visitors to the Normandy battlefields.
